Can Humans And Animals Coexist Now??
Human beings and animals have been living on the planet Earth for centuries and so has animal cruelty. We people have been using animals for our own selfish needs. From kings to the modern 21st-century person, we have all found cases of animal cruelty. Let us start from basic. We who have pets at their place sometimes disregard the wish of those animals to train them. This might be unknowingly too where we don't answer their pains or feed them late. We consider those innocent creatures as our entertainment or for sometimes the security of our kids and homes. We should treat like them family and it doesn't just involve giving them food time to time but also the love because love treats all the wounds and scars they might have ever felt.
Now let us come on to the strays or abandoned animals. Recently we came across an incident where a starving pregnant elephant died due to the crude baits which were local crude bombs for the wild boar. Natives say that it was for the wild boars who attack their crops. They had no intention of killing the elephant. But guess what the elephant died. The case is global attention. Some people say that the elephant was offered the bait. Well, we cannot say anything with half based information but the bait was actually for the boars which I guess we're supposed to be killed if they eat it. We cannot blame the animals who wander and eat on the crops because they are hungry. There should be alternatives for such problems.

On streets we often see children misbehaving with dogs or birds by throwing stones at them or by pulling the dog's tail. Their parents seem to ignore it. But if the dog bites or scratches for self-defence they will the municipal corporation to get rid of all the stray dogs in the vicinity. I mean it's just like if you had told your kids earlier none of this would have happened.
We have seen various videos on social platforms about animal cruelty. Putting firecrackers on an animal's tail, or whipping a donkey just to get attention. People harm their animals or strays just to get some mere likes on social media. Where are the consciences of these people? If you don't love animals, that's fine. But you have no right to harm them whatsoever.

Some say that the recent pandemic is caused due to consumption of bats by the local people. Now because of them, the entire world is suffering. Some people have absolutely no sense of eating. You can try new things but you shouldn't use animals to give you the adrenaline you want. We sacrifice lots of animals on various occasions to please god. That means for our selfish reasons we sacrifice an innocent's life. Does this make any sense?
Let us not forget the poaching and the animals who are brought to be used in circuses. Elephants are killed for their tusks, tigers for their skin, and various other animals are killed for either their hide or skin, or they are beheaded and used as antiques. Up until 2018, the fine system used was of the British era where the fine was ranging between 50 rupees to 500 rupees depending upon the severity of the situation. It was later in 2018 that the fine was raised.

Were you aware of the fact that,
*Every 60 seconds, one animal suffers abuse.
*Close to 65% of all abused animals are dogs.
*Every year, more than 10 million animals die from abuse in the US alone.
*From 2008 to 2015, more than 80,000 Greyhounds became part of the racing industry.
*In 2006, 3 slaughterhouses in the US killed and processed 104,000 horses for human consumption.

*Every year, more than 115 million animals in the world are used for laboratory experiments.
*About 97% of all animals that are tortured and killed every year are farm animals.
People don't understand that animals feel the same pain as we do. And hurting them for cool decor, outfits, or any personal use is not cool. They are a part of this word as much as we are and without them, the ecosystem will collapse. Animal abuse is a topic which is many a time pushed aside.

The points above were just the top 10 statistics and facts about animal cruelty. It's just like the tip of an iceberg.
Everyone should do something about it. And if you call yourself an animal lover you should do whatever it takes to make sure that at least animals around arent facing any abuse.
Here are some methods that will help you to reduce animal cruelty or abuse.
1. Be a responsible pet owner
2. Be an example of kindness to other pet owners.
3. Intervene if you witness any animal cruelty, abuse, or neglect.
4. Report any animal cruelty, abuse, or neglect.
5. Teach people to respect and take care of animals.
6. Shelter an animal in need.
7. Consider that neglect of animals can be closely linked to domestic violence.
8. Strict laws for the protection of animals.
9. Educate people around you about this issue.
10. Offer help to people who are overwhelmed with their pets.
The animals can't ask for help. You have to be the bigger person and help an innocent. Spread love to all animals even if it is a wild one. As someone has wisely said, you seek what you sow. Be kind to all kinds and not just mankind
